In 2005, intrigued by the legend of a sunken treasure galleon, I founded Blue Water Ventures of Key West and began to seek out and recruit world-class historic shipwreck explorers to join in a quest to discover her missing treasures. In a relatively brief period of time, utilizing cutting edge technology, our professional team recovered multi-millions in treasures and artifacts and brought to light a treasure trove of historic information. And that was just the beginning.
As Blue Water’s successes and renown increased, so did our opportunities. Today we have operations underway on the east coast of Florida, are leveraging opportunities to launch search and recovery projects in several key areas of the Caribbean, and are poised to become a Publicly traded, open market company.
The intertwining of private sector investment with not-for-profit scholarship and public participation has proven to be an effective and successful model - one that dovetails the need to answer specific archaeological and historic questions with the practicalities associated with recovering valuable cargo.
